Trading Risk Disclosure
Trading is highly speculative. You can lose all funds committed to a trade, and short selling or leverage can create losses greater than the initial amount.
JBOT does not provide personalized advice
JBOT outputs are general-purpose research and workflow tools. They do not consider your objectives, financial circumstances, tax position, experience, liquidity needs, or risk tolerance. Day trading
Day trading can produce large and immediate losses, involves competition with professional market participants, and may be unsuitable for people with limited resources, limited experience, or low risk tolerance. Fees, spreads, slippage, borrow costs, halted trading, and execution delays can eliminate an apparent edge. Do not use retirement savings, emergency funds, borrowed living funds, or money you cannot afford to lose.
Short selling
A short position has theoretically unlimited loss because a security's price can continue rising. Borrow can be unavailable or recalled, fees can change, and forced buy-ins, squeezes, halts, gaps, or corporate actions can prevent an intended exit. A high fade score or parabolic pattern does not mean a reversal is imminent.
IPOs and low-float securities
New issues may have limited history, unstable price discovery, restricted supply, uncertain borrow, lockup and quiet-period effects, incomplete calendars, large spreads, volatility halts, and rapid dilution or offering risk. Historical "day since IPO" averages may not apply to a particular issuer or market regime.
Crypto assets
Crypto markets may trade continuously with extreme volatility, fragmented liquidity, custody and counterparty risk, protocol failures, regulatory changes, manipulation, and limited recovery rights. Exchange outages can prevent entry, exit, or transfer.
Models, scores, and simulations
Technical factors, sentiment, unusual volume, rankings, Monte Carlo paths, probability bands, and buy or sell labels are estimates based on assumptions and available data. Simulations are not forecasts. Backtests and average historical paths are vulnerable to overfitting, survivorship bias, look-ahead bias, regime change, and inaccurate or revised data. A displayed probability is not the probability of profit for your trade.
Data and system risk
Quotes may be delayed, stale, consolidated, estimated, or unavailable. Corporate events and calendars may be incomplete. Software, networks, providers, and devices can fail. Always verify price, liquidity, order type, position, buying power, borrow, and news directly with your broker and authoritative sources before acting.
Your responsibility
You are solely responsible for orders, position sizing, risk limits, legal compliance, and losses. Use independent judgment, test with paper trading, set maximum loss limits, and understand your broker's rules before using real capital. Past performance does not predict future results.
